BTW this fruit and meat diet

Is killing my energy.  Every run I’ve been on the past two weeks has been on an empty tank.  My legs tire out around mile 2.  My bike commutes take an extra 5-7 minutes.

Thing is, the main carb in fruit is fructose and fructose does not get converted into glycogen.  It goes straight to the liver for processing.  The upside is that it doesn’t spike your blood sugar. The downside is that it’s not available for exercise.

So, starting next week I am going to modify this fruit and meat diet to include vegetables/food sources that are high in good complex carbs - like red beans, quinoa, oats, etc.  I am going to try to add them to dinner only and see if it’s enough.
